As a leading mechanical and electrical design consultancy, MGF are dedicated to the fostering the benefits of energy efficient sustainable design. With rapid growth in their Cairns office new premises were required to accommodate staff and the increased project workloads brought on by the expansion of building development in and around northern Queensland.

MGF took their relocation to a new office site as an opportunity to spotlight the advances made in sustainable design and offer clients a chance to appreciate what can be achieved though a commitment  and smart design.

Starting out as a mechanic’s workshop in a steel portal frame shed, MGF designed a state of the art design office with the space to comfortably accommodate staff in an open plan environment, while maintaining large work areas, a boardroom, and large glass to capture natural light and link the workspace with the outside tropical environment.

With the assistance of some meticulous like-minded contractors MGF’s Cairns office has become the preferred venue by clients for project meetings allowing clients to experience the positive effects which can be achieved through a balanced environment focus, and flexible building design.
